The John C Johnson Building was from the twenties and named after the first superintendent/principal of many years JCJ. It served as a wood shop, auto shop, bus garage, senior classes building, a kitchen and eventually, after the school was decommissioned, it was the library before being converted into community offices and classroom space. The property sits squarely in the right of way for the current First Street and Coach Street and because of it being grandfathered in as one of La Pine’s only existing historical buildings, the community is anxious to save it.

It is currently being leased to Neighbor Impact for Childcare
